About
My name is Anth Purdy and my now established solo act since 2012 is one of playing
all original guitar instrumentals.
My show is a music journey through the decades explaining my influences and showcasing my personal interpretation of the styles of these guitar icons from the 1940’s to the modern day.
In addition to sharing with the audience my guitar playing, I invite them to learn about the very varied style of my music in the form of interesting historical facts of how each style has developed.
The inspiration for my show came from Les Paul and his act from the 1940’s/50’s with my idea of adding a modern twist making it accessible to the wider audience of today.
My music is a blend of old meets new with catchy hooks and memorable melodies, perfect for TV, film and live shows.
In addition to my songwriting, as a graphic designer and videographer, I am able compliment my act with professional studio recordings and artistic videos with strong visual imagery that leave my viewers with memorable experiences.
